Value of Fathers

Malachi 4:5-6[5]

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.” [Matt. 11:14; 17:10-13.][6] “And he shall turn and reconcile the hearts of the [estranged] fathers to the [ungodly] children, and the hearts of the [rebellious] children to [the piety of] their fathers [a reconciliation produced by repentance of the ungodly], lest I come and smite the land with a curse and a ban of utter destruction.” [Luke 1:17.]

Types of Fathers – Heavenly father who is God – Father in Christ. The person who led you to Christ. He or she counts for longer lives in Christ.- Spiritual Father. The person who disciples you in the journey of salvation.- Father in the ministry. A person who called you to serve in the ministry.- Biological Father. Responsible for your existence.- Father in-law.father to your husband or wife.- Substitute Father. The person who played a father’s role in absence of your father.- Father of a movement. Abraham is a father of faith which is movement.

Martin Luther was a father of Pentecostal creation movement.- Father of Sin. When we look at the above scripture we see God lamenting how fathers treated children and he is directing Fathers to turn their hearts to children and children to turn their hearts to their Fathers. In the era we are leaving in today, many fathers have abandoned their children,they don’t take care of them at all but when you really reflect yourself of what your life is now does it glorify God. The Bible says the Father who doesn’t take care and provide for his children is Wicked. Today Fathers i want us to reflect what we are doing to our children does it really reflect the glory of God and do you feel happy when your children are suffering,do you get joy in their suffering??. This goes to all Fathers who have abandoned their children, please it’s time to repent and do what is right the reason you are suffering as well is because you have abandoned your responsibility. You are encountering different challenges and situations because you have abandoned your children.

The Blessings comes to he who Honours and takes care of his children. In the biblical context children are a blessing from God and children often open doors for parents for Blessings. Tonight i want us Fathers to go back and look for our children wherever they’re it doesn’t matter whether you separated with their mothers or you are still together. There is what we call co- parenting . This is where you forget of your affairs and look unto the future of your children and not what happened between two of you. The children’s future matters more than your faults which went wrong. Let us forget of the past and come together to shape the future of the children. Let me assure you the fruits of where you did not invest are not sweet to enjoy at all. Have seen fathers leaving on regrets because they didn’t involve themselves in the journey of success of their children, don’t be a victim of such Fathers.

Fathers arise and look for your children and i want assure you the day you start looking after your children,the Lord will open all shut doors for you, hopefully am speaking to Fathers this morning who are ready to reconcile with their children and walk in the blessings of God. Am calling upon all Fathers out there who some intended to cast away your children and thinking they will look for you when they grow up, just reflect your own Father did not abandon you, then at laast pick up an example from your father and look for your children wherever they’re scattered. Then Fathers who think you were pushed by the wife, please there is no perfect person in this world, it’s from our mistakes that we learn and perfect ourselves. It’s not too late for you to reconcile and walk the journey of your children. Don’t wait to say they’ll look for you, it will be a lifetime pain which you will be in beloved Fathers. Now is the to arise and shine in the lives of your children.Children you had abandoned your Fathers please it’s time you ought to go back and reconcile with them it doesn’t matter the wrong they have done to you. Your Father might have left you way back back honour is due to your Father. The reason why most of us children are rotating in life is abandonment of our honour to our Fathers.

The Day you will start honouring your father is the beginning of your journey change. Am writing this because am a testimony of honouring my dad even when he abandoned me. But the Lord had sowed seeds of honouring parents in me,so no matter the suffering i went through i remember the Lord  saying to me it’s well. It sounded Asif it’s a simple word but that word opened doors for me and the more i helped my dad the more doors God opened for me and in all his children am the most blessed because i learned honour.

Children out there reconcile with your Fathers for they hold all Blessings in your life and future. Start it now and your life will be transformed. Your parents hold your Life span and your spiritual parents hold your prosperity. Let us honour Fathers as i have stated above. Children let us arise and shine and sow good seeds for our children and generations. One act of honour and kindness will save your generation from suffering but rather opens doors which no Man can shut.

Look at Isaac the son of Abraham he inherited all what his father had this sets as a very good example as Fathers to correct our wrong actions and children to honour our Fathers. Finally honour all these people who stood on the shoes of your Father or parents in their absence maybe your parents departed this world when you were still little and it’s your grandparents,or an auntie or an uncle or a step father or elder brother or sister is the one who raised you, please go and honour them for your blessings lies in them. With caution honour is due and respect is earned. Beloved ones this word may look simple but it going to open doors for you which no one can ever shut. In conclusion Fathers look for your children and reconcile with them for God loves the family Which is United and in harmony for there shall lillies and rivers of water flows.Be blessed as you meditate on this word for God. This is a command and directive to do.
