WritingTo all Honourable Members contesting for the Speakership race and distinguished senior cadres of the Movement — Hon. Oboth, Hon. Asiimwe Akiiki, Hon. Odria, Hon. Ogibah, Hon. Lamwaka, Rt. Hon. Tayebwa, Hon. Susan, Hon. Mary Kuteesa, Hon. Patrick Obura, Hon. Kaberuka, Hon. Namara Denis, Hon. Wanyoto Lydia, Hon. Peace, Hon. Steven Kafuuzi, Hon. Jackson, Hon. Tete Everline, Hon. Otto Edward and Gen. Tumukunde.

With utmost respect, patriotism and unwavering loyalty to the National Resistance Movement, we write as concerned youth and committed cadres seeking your timely intervention on a matter that continues to raise concern, disappointment and unanswered questions among many young people across Uganda. The matter concerns Agaba Bridge Murokole, former aspirant for the position of First National Vice Chairperson of the NRM, who, in the spirit of unity, discipline and loyalty to the Movement, accepted guidance and withdrew from the race for the greater good of party cohesion.

Following this sacrifice and demonstration of political maturity, he reportedly fulfilled all the required procedures and submitted the necessary documentation for appointment as Commissioner in the Poverty Alleviation Department attached to State House. However, despite the expectations created and the commitment shown, the process has remained delayed without clear communication or explanation. This prolonged silence has increasingly created frustration and discouragement among many young cadres who viewed this as a symbol of recognition for loyalty, sacrifice and service to the Movement.

Questions continue to emerge from concerned youth regarding why the process appears to have stalled, and why some officials entrusted with handling the matter have allegedly not acted with the urgency and fairness expected. Concerns have particularly been directed toward PPS Omwaswa Asio Gloria and State House Controller Mrs. Barekye Jane, while comparisons are being drawn with other appointments that were reportedly processed more swiftly.

As respected national leaders seeking the trust, confidence and support of Ugandans, we humbly appeal to you to raise this matter before so that clarity, fairness and confidence can be restored among the youth. Young cadres who dedicate their energy, time and future to defending and strengthening the Movement must feel that loyalty, sacrifice and commitment are valued and protected.

History has consistently shown that strong political movements endure when they inspire hope, reward sacrifice and nurture the confidence of the younger generation. The continued delay in resolving this matter risks sending a discouraging message to many patriotic youth who have stood firm for the ideals and continuity of the NRM.

This appeal is therefore made not in confrontation, but in respect, unity and faith in the leadership of the Movement. We believe that fairness, accountability and recognition of committed cadres are essential pillars for sustaining the strength, stability and future of the NRM and our country.

Signed,Concerned Citizen Youth of Uganda 🇺🇬
